Pumpkin breakfast muffins

Haven't posted in quite some time so I thought I would share with you a new breakfast treat I mixed up for my little family.   Scrolling through pinterest I am always looking for quick yet yummy meals and goodies for my family.  Tasting good is the most important thing in trying new recipes but for working moms quick is a very close second (well for this working mom anyway)
A while ago I found a pin called pumpkin breakfast muffins.  They sounded pretty good and I do like pumpkin.  Val says she doesn't like pumpkin, I think she will like them because she always chows down on some pumpkin pie just like the rest of us so when she tries them and loves them I will bite my tongue and not say those 4 words to remind her I was right. (Who am I kidding I will so say "I told you so!" Because mom is always right, right?)
Anyway...

Pumpkin breakfast muffins
one can of pumpkin pie filling
one box of yellow cake mix.
Mix the two ingredients spoon into a muffin tin and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350º
(Do not follow cake mix instructions just use the dry mix and the can of pumpkin only)

I know, I know...sounds to easy to be yummy but I promise they are so yummy.  And yes so easy.
I will be stocking up on some extra cans of pumpkin and a few extra boxes of cake mix so that we can have a quick and easy breakfast available anytime.
Try them and see how you like them and if you have time stop back by here and leave a comment to let me know how you rate them.
Have a great week. (I hope to be back sooner than I have been)
Always,
tammyc

Wonderful waste of time

I tried to warn you that I had so much to tell you... So We have been spending so much time at the hospital with my dad.  I mean we were all there for several days (now we are taking turns-he's doing well and we had to go back to work).  And you know how it is everyone brings something to keep them busy so that they can ward off boredom.  Well Val had been using one of those round loom things that you can knit hats and such.  She had made herself one and while there her knitting caught the attention of one of my nieces (Katie) and she wanted to know how to make one for herself.  So Val being excited to show someone sat down with her and gave her the loom and some yarn and helped her along.  That girl made her whole hat.  She loves it and wears it everywhere already.  Before we knew it Haleigh was in on learning to make hats.  They were having such a good time knitting away while visiting with their papa and all his company.  ...

A new year

Ugh!  I have started and deleted this blog entry more times than I care to admit. :)  I have so many things floating around in my mind that I want to write about that I keep jumbling them all up on the page and they are not making sense to me so I am sure you will not have a clue what I am saying...babble, babble, babble... Anyway maybe this one will work for us all. The new year.  2012  Wow.  I am getting so old, I don't ever recall thinking this far in to the future when I was a kid except maybe when I watched movies with flying cars and hoovering skate boards and such thinking it would be neat to have a flying car.  but here we are still living a pretty normal life without all that stuff. I chuckle a little when I think of all the things I enjoy, these things certainly don't "fit" the year 2012 as the movie writers would write it. Because I don't want a flying car, I think it would be fun to ride a horse everywhere or have a covered w...

My baby girl

found this pic, not sure but I believe she was 3 April 12th (yes i know it is the 13th now)...This date in 1999 we welcomed into the world our sweet baby Britt.  She had a bit of a rough time in the first week, but wow look at her now.  She is 12.  Cant believe she is already almost a teen. (yuck)  We were so spoiled with Val that when Miss Britt came along she set our world on edge.  Thats right, she was quite a mess(not sleeping throught the night even to this day she sleep walks) But you wouldn't meet a sweeter, kinder girl.  She has the biggest heart.  Ive been thinking alot about her today with reason, it was after all her birthday.  She got to bring her horse to our pasture this week inlight of her day, so she didn't really seem to mind that I had to work and she had a softball game on her birthday.  As long as she gets to play with Ladybug alittle before the day is over.  She is now fast asleep in her bed(for now)...
