Just be yourself...a realization of sorts

I have sat down and read the organizing book and have really been trying to come up with the next post in that series.  I have a problem.  I cannot find it in my heart to write about organizing.  That isn't me.  I am not a super organized person and to be dreadfully honest I probably never will be.  I want to just write.  Like before, I just want to write what comes to mind when it comes to mind.  I don't know what made me think that I could right about one subject over and over and over.  Everything about me and my life is random, crazy, busy and a bit chaotic.  But I am happy living this life.  I have a fabulous family and so many great friends and life is good.  I'm not saying I am stopping the book about organizing.  I'm not.  I am still gonna work my way through it and I still hope that Jody will still meet for lunch once a week or come to the house so we can discuss the section of the book we are on at that time.  I will finish the book.  And in the long run my home and life will benefit from it.  But I am not and will not ever be the kind of organized that women with "organizing blogs" are.  It isn't me.

So here it is all set out there.  I have some stories that have been swarming around in my head as well as projects I have been working on.  I haven't posted them because I was worried that if the new post wasn't an organizing post then no one would read, but really how many people were reading along with those posts anyway.  It really just felt like a road block that was keeping me from writing them here.  I hope to get you some stuff to read real soon so check back often.

Thanks for reading

Have a fantastic week!

things are calming down...nah, not really.

Well here we are 21 days into this new year and I am still waiting for things to get back to before holiday normal.  It isn't there yet.  That would be mostly because I had to switch my schedule around at work and have started working nights again after 2 years.  It is taking me a bit of time to try to adjust.  I promise I will get back on some kind of schedule and get the organizing posts coming again soon.  Until then hang in there.

I will be posting some other posts soon as we have had lots of stuff going on in our lives.

See you all again soon  ☺

Thanks for reading.
Sorry this one is so short.

Have a great week

Happy New Year! !

I can not believe how quickly the years pass now that I am inching ever so close to 40.  Some people say "wow I dont know where the year went"  but crazy as it sounds I do know.   It really seems like yesterday Stephen and I were hanging out with some friends waiting to ring in 2013.  And here it is January 1, 2014.  It flat flew by.  At first thought I could think I don't know what happened to the time.  But given a few minutes to ponder it all I remember well what all happened (Stephen always gives me 9 kinds of crap about posting on Facebook or instagram but when looking back they help me remember all the fun we had).  We did some pretty great things in 2013.  We got to travel out of the country for the first time (to 3 different countries), made some new friends, sadly lost touch with some dear friends & got back in touch with some old ones.  Val got her drivers license and Britt started her first year of high school. We had some pretty great adventures and spent plenty of time just doing nothing at all, we bought a new bike to insure we would have plenty of future adventures as well.  I don't know what the rest of my family would say but I feel as if we had a fairly amazing year at our house.

Before the last year ended if you read my blog much you know I started slowly working my way through the book "Organize Now" and was doing well with it until the holidays came.  Just wanted to give you a heads up and let you know I will be diving back into it this next week. (I am looking forward to things getting back to normal around here)
I'm not good with the thought of a new years resolution so I am not even going to say "This year I..."  because I know I would never finish and I hate the feeling of failure.   But I am adding a couple things to my routine in hopes they stick.  If they do awesome if they don't no big deal.  :)
copy and paste to print one for yourself.

One of which I am posting a picture of just in case you want to give it a shot.  It's a little weekly savings plan.  You save a dollar amount for the week # that you are in.   (found on pinterest~where I find all my crazy hair brained ideas).
Example:  week one $1, week two $2, week three $3 and so on for the 52 weeks of the year.
No its not going to make you a millionaire but maybe it will give you a bit of incentive to save and maybe have a weekend getaway for you and your sweetheart.
The other thing I'm going to try to make a habit...well I'll write more on that another day, this is about enough ramblings for one day.
I hope everything you wished for in 2013 came through for you and that 2014 turns out to be even better.
Enjoy the first day of your new year.

PS 100th blog post!!  Who would have thought I had enough stuff so chat about that I would post 100 blog entries.  So in honor of my 100th post I am going to give away one $25.00 Hobby Lobby (its my favorite store) gift card to a randomly selected person.

Rules to enter give a way for a gift card

Notice will be left on the blog and on facebook.
