So I have been busy...OK not really just life really gets in the way of all the other things I like to do for fun.  I get too caught up in going to work and hanging with my girls and doing all the things they require of me and don't take time to write or sew or anything.  So I was quite amazed that when I logged on today and noticed that I have 11 whole followers after all this time of not posting anything.  Summers get a little busy I guess going to the lake, the pool, mini trips and such that I think to myself "i should blog about this"  but then when I get back to the computer (yes I know I can blog from my phone) I have forgotten that I even had the thought to blog. So now that the weather is cooling and the girls are back to school i find that i am having to entertain myself...today was brutal.  Ive been home almost all day alone going nuts.  I like having people around me.  Even if it is just laying around all day watching (o...

Spring has almost come and gone and summer is slowly but surly showing it's hot head here on the little farm.  We have been pretty busy with daily life that I really hadn't been out to take any photos of the animals.  So I thought I had better get to it.   This little Barred Rock momma is sitting on 11 eggs.  It was funny that every single day when one of us were out gathering eggs she would be trying to sit on some and be noticeably mad when we would move her to take them away.  We would take them each day only to find her sitting on more eggs the next day...Stephen felt sorry for her and gave in to her needing to be a mommy by letting her have 11 eggs one day so she could just sit and be happy.  I don't even know what day that was that he let her have them I think that today it has been a couple of weeks or so and we should start to hear the sweet little peeping of baby chicks (not that we need any more but its fun none the less) soon...

yep, since I posted anyway.  This is just a short sweet post, to let you all know that I am still here...It has just been a little busy spending time with Stephen and the girls, taking a mini road trip with Steph and Rita to Texas (crazy story) and so much other stuff that I haven't made time to sit down and write anything.  I have a couple of things in the works though so don't give up on me.  Something about farm animals, another post about Chuck(s) and a few other things.  I haven't really made any time for quilting, bag making or anything crafty in a bit either so I gotta get on that (I miss it). Check back often to see that yes I am still alive and well, just busier than normal (and my normal is pretty busy) Have a great week ahead hope to write for you all soon.

So I mentioned in a post or so ago that I have started wearing "Chucks"  I had bought them for Val she didn't like this pair and wanted new ones (she is spoiled and nearly always gets what she wants)  Anyway this was a perfectly good pair of shoes laying around collecting dust.  I tried them on, they fit so I started wearing them.  Let me just say they are almost as good as going barefooted and I LOVE them.  I like the look and how awesome they feel on my feet.  While cleaning up the photo storage on my phone I noticed that they seem to be popping up in a lot of my pictures.  So I thought I would share what "Chuck(s) and I have been up to this past week  :) We went to watch Britt play softball, she did great and we had the best seat in the place.  Val and her "Chuck(s)" sat next to us and cheered for Miss Brittnie and the Lady Pirates to a 15-0 win!  WOOHOO! April 9th through 13th really so I don't know if you can call it a real "week" but it sure felt like I done enough stuff that it qualified as a whole week.  Have a look at the crazy things going on in my life right now :) The perfume I have been wanting...Stephen bought it for me.  It was waiting on the kitchen table when I came home from work. Monday night.  It smells great and I love it S'mores pops anyone?  That's right s'more pops, I posted about these the other day when I made them.  They came together so fast and my girls just loved them.  Like I said there is a post that tells all about them.  You should make some for your family, you will be a hero  :) Stephen and I have been on a high protein low calorie diet for a month now and we have been cutting a bunch of foods from our life and eating much more healthy...with that said I have to admit that the other day I had a crazy urge for bacon.  I never really ate a lot of...
